Almost everyone has it. But few actually use it properly. Why? Because most companies turn it into a digital dumping ground. Channels are a mess, chats sound like a Twitter feed, and documents... let's not even talk about them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And then comes the decision. Fast, important, ideally still today. But you have no idea who said what, where the latest version of the document is, and why we're talking about it again. So, another meeting. Another waste of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Then clean it up. Not junkyards.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don't throw everything into one channel. It's like inviting the accountant to a marketing meeting and making sure everyone talks at once.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Create channels based on topics, projects, departments. Add documents, tasks, notes there. And most importantly... use them. Not just for \u201e<em>Hello hello<\/em>\u201cnews.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" id=\"z\u00e1ver\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"chaty\"><strong>Conversations are like text messages. Quick and they don't remember anything.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a joke, meme, or the question \u201eCan you get it to me by 3 PM?\u201c, chat is great. But if you're discussing budget decisions there, congratulations, because you've just buried it in an information black hole. Important things belong in channels. It's respect.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you want someone to know something, tag them. Don't assume someone will read 53 messages back. Does it concern them? Tag them. Does it not? Don't bother them. And remember, no, @team every 5 minutes is not a strategy. That's passive aggression.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" id=\"z\u00e1ver\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"copilot\"><strong>Copilot is your digital colleague who remembers everything (even things you don't)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do you know that feeling when you remember someone said something, but you don't know who, when, where, or why? <strong>Copilot to vie.<\/strong> It summarizes the discussion. Finds the document. Suggests a reply. It simply does what you are supposed to do, but you can't keep up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use it. It's like having a partner who isn't tired, doesn't passively-aggressively ignore you, and doesn't play the hero.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" id=\"z\u00e1ver\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sharepoint\"><strong>SharePoint isn't a monster. It's your memory center.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">File in a channel = file in SharePoint. Versions? Sure. Co-authoring? Of course. Someone deleted it? No problem, you can roll back. Once you understand this, you won't go back to \u201e<em>final_final_version_really_last_FINAL2.docx\u201c<\/em>. <strong>SharePoint has your back<\/strong>, even if you forget where you actually saved it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start by tidying up at least one channel. Move documents, create bookmarks, set up rules.&nbsp;<br>Then teach that a chat \u2260 knowledge base.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And while you're at it, try Copilot. Give it a task. You'll be surprised. Just take the first step, which is to sort out one channel, create a structure, and put bookmarks and documents in it.
